Thank you, the target="_blank' worked for me. I think it has something to do with jquery versions, but I am not sure.

Thank you for the snapshot attachment. From the looks of things, Thickbox is unable to display "iframes" in your configuration. Possibly due to code alteration by a gallery plugin or theme template.

To solve this problem, I need to verify your Thickbox setting. Can you send me a snapshot of the view source from WassUp Details main screen? I only need the document head section. You can email me the image or link directly at techfromhel (at) gmail (dot) com, if you don't want others to see this sensitive information.

In the meantime, here is a temporary workaround to display "top stats" in a new window instead of Thickbox:

Navigate to Wordpress Admin >> Plugins >> Editor. Under "Plugin to edit", select "Wassup" in the drop-down box, then click the [select] button.

Find line# 1429:
else echo '" class="thickbox';
about 1/3 down the page and a few lines below the "Auto refresh" line

Edit the echo statement by replacing
class="thickbox'
with
target="_blank'

Be extra careful here and duplicate the quotes exactly. If you get it wrong, wassup will fail with many errors. Note that there is no double-quotes at the end of this statement.

Select [Update File] and you're done.

Hello helene,

I tried it with Chrome 17 developer and Firefox 10 beta. Neither worked. I also changed box's width to 800px using Wassup's settings page. That didn't work either.

I tried to find a reason using firebug, and I found out something interesting. Firebug *thinks* there is a thickbox window is over all content. Look at the screenshot. The thickbox box is selected. I examined all the CSS and simply didn't understand why it is not visible. :S (it is set to display:block; and I checked z-index too.)

Sorry everyone, but I could not duplicate this problem in my copy of Wordpress 3.3. Perhaps this is a browser compatibility issue with either jQuery 1.7.1 or Thickbox 3.1.

Try viewing WassUp "top stats" from a different browser and let me know if that works.

Hi, I have just upgraded my wordpress to 3.3.1 and Wassup 1.8.3 works fine for me except when I try to display the "Show Top Stats".
The problem and the behavior are the same as umutweb have reported.

Thanks in advance for your support and the very useful plugin.

hi,
i have links to internal pages of my site that are actually a redirect links to my affiliate link.
when i click on those links it stores "/" as for homepage instead of the clicked link url (will be some inner page).

any way to make it track clicks on those links?
thanks

Thank you for reporting this. I tested 'show top stats' and 'view raw table' in Wordpress 3.3 and they worked fine in my tests.

There were some reports of a problem with Thickbox in a pre-release copy of Wordpress 3.3, but that was fixed, I believe. If you are an early adopter of WP 3.3, you might have inadvertently got a pre-release copy. Try downloading and installing WP 3.3 again, just in case.

Hi.

I upgraded to Wordpess 3.3 Wassup works as excepted but there is a problem about UI. When I click "Show Top Stats", Loading animation appears with dimmed background but after that, only dimmed background is seen. Stats doesn't appear. It seems to be a problem with thickbox I think.

It works on the primary site but in the sub sites I see the wassup plugin and all the setting etc. But I get an error message IMPORTANT: WassUp table empty or does not exist! when I make changes to the settings. As a result all the pages show 0 vistors or data.

@Yolande21p, @burakk:

Your problems are caused by pre-existing configuration problems or by a plugin that is incompatible with WassUp. You need to delete all your plugins from your
wp-content/plugins
directory, then follow these instructions to isolate the problem plugin:

Well a big surprise this morning...I tried to update the new version on my blog and when done for some reason I do not master, my WASSUP has totally and absolutely diseappered.
After the last 8 hours, I stil have not found a way to get back where I first were with this plugin and I supposed I have lost all my datas
The same day the social blog roll plugin has deaseappered as well while updated

Whaterever I Try to re-install both the answer is the same; There are already activated. The question is Where should I find some evidences of their presence on my admin page? What to do?

I will be desappointed as Wassup is one of my major tools

Thank you

@aces: Thanks for reporting the 'set_time_limit' warning error. The fix will be included in the bugfix revision of WassUp coming soon.

If you can't wait, here is a quick hack to fix it:

Open 'wassup.php' in Wordpress plugin Editer

find line #4250:
set_time_limit(60*60*30); // run script up to 0.5 hour

insert an ampersand (@) in front of 'set_time_limit' function and remove the duplicate "*60" from the function parameter:
@set_time_limit(60*30);

and save.

Note: Wordpress 3.0.1 plugin editor fails for 'WassUp' in some configurations. If that happens, download 'wassup.php' and edit it as a 'txt' document your home computer, save, then upload and overwrite the old 'wassup.php' file in
wp-content/plugins/wassup
directory.

@Christina: Please apply the above fix to your copy of WassUp. Plus, you might want to look into changing your error reporting level in Wordpress to hide PHP warning errors from visitors (if you can). No errors should ever display to a visitor, especially not warning errors.

Hi,

Since upgrading, I've been plagued by the same error as Aces. However, this one appears to be triggered by safe mode as indicated in this error message:-

Warning: set_time_limit() [function.set-time-limit]: Cannot set time limit in safe mode in /var/www/vhosts/athena.outer-reaches.com/httpdocs/wp/wp-content/plugins/wassup/wassup.php on line 4250

Unlike Aces however, I'm also getting these errors on the the actual site, not just in the admin pages.

The theme seems to have provoked some debate... personally, I'm not too keen as it is a marked contrast to the rest of the admin pages.

Well I really like the new theme...

However I've had a problem with wasssup a few times since the upgrade in that I get the following error message (with website name edited out):

@topo: FYI. There are known compatibility issues with W3 Total Cache and other page caching plugins that causes inaccurate Wassup statistics. We don't recommend page caching plugins with WassUp and did not test them during WassUp 1.8 beta tests, so the 'preg-match' error went undetected.

We are now working on a bugfix update, but it is still a couple days off. In the interim, here is a hack to get WassUp 1.8 working with your cache: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wassup-wassup-18-almost-broken?replies=2#post-1807057

@disappointeduser: sorry u feel that way about the new design. If you are a web designer, we'd love to see your revision of our css. Send us a link when you are done. Please note that the file you need to edit is
css/wassup.css
.

I just registered to say this, the new design if horrible, seriously, what's up with the Windows style and the dropshadow?!
Not to mention the pseudo "3d" border on every single report, is like going back to 1999.
This way the UI doesn't fit nicely with WP admin interface, honestly looks like the design mistake WP did a few release back, v2.5, even the whole community thought the design was bad.

Now gotta go and edit some css. :\

Resetting to Default didn't work, either. I went ahead and backed up the database (SQL and CSV) then deleted all the data. That didn't work. But, there's good news -- I was able to fix it after I completely deleted and re-installed the plugin. I'm keeping an eye on it but so far, so good.
