I know you guys must have a million other things to do, but thought to request better IP recognition in future releases as I currently have to double check IPs here:

http://www.myiptest.com/staticpages/index.php/IP-Lookup

and am sure if they can do it so easily & accurately, so could your plugin :o)

Best,

Hi,

I'm getting php errors when entries are added to wp_wassup_tmp, indicating that the data is too long for column 'ip'. This happens when an IPv6 address is added that is longer than 35 characters.

I have manually changed the ip column length to 46 (on both wp_wassup_tmp and wp_wassup).
Is there anything else that needs to be changed ?

Perhaps this modif can be built into the next version/update ?

Thank you so much for this counter. It's great. Just wondering if there is a way to block my computer from being counted when I am viweing the site for editing purposes.

Thanks

Hi, I have lots of spammers on my site and I am using wp-ban plugin to ban them all individually. For this, i need to know the IP of spammers which wassup already tracks.

Now the problem is I dont know how to get all IP addresses of some date. I see the column timestamp in wassup table structure, but not sure how it is calculated.

I would be great if somebody would give me a SQL query to get all visitors IP addresses of some date X, or atleast todays visitors.

Thanks,

Perhaps this has been covered here, but I have an idea that would help me immensely. Is it possible that on the next version rather than having the ability to exclude logging by IP address, you enable the user to just not have logging based on whether the user is logged in or not?

My IP is dynamic and changes every other day so I am forced to exclude my own IP every other day. It can be done, but it is tedious. It seems if you were simply able to add a feature that said "exclude logging from logged-in users" and specify the login names it would solve this problem that I'm sure many others are facing?

Just a thought

It would be great to have the ability to tag IP addresses. But it's just my wish. I hope it's a feature someone else might be able to use. Please add it if you think it's worth it.

And thanks for a great plugin! :)

Hi - If users log in from the same IP it seems to show them as whatever the initial login was. Is there a way to differentiate based on logins and not ip? Right now this site is being used as an intranet - of sorts- and the admins want to see which user logs in to the resources - and they are mostly coming from one IP.

Hi there,

When I first installed WassUp several versions ago (and it's fantastic software, btw), the vast majority of my guests were logged with their hostname. That is to say, the actual name of the server they were visiting from (nc.rr.com or whatnot). More recently and after some upgrades, the vast majority are logged only by their IP addresses. A scant few still show server names, but most are just IP numbers. Is there any way to get WassUp to show me the server names of my visitors, or is there a utility better suited to that task?

thanks
Michael

hc on "Support for Maxmind GeoIP database"

Hi!

I'd love to see support for the Maxmind GeoIP ip<->location database.
All information required can be found here: http://www.maxmind.com/app/php

One note though! When using the Apache mod_geoip module (which should be supported along side the "pure php" library provided by Maxmind) they give this example on their page:

$country_code = apache_note("GEOIP_COUNTRY_CODE");
$country_name = apache_note("GEOIP_COUNTRY_NAME");

This will *only* work when PHP is running via mod_php - if you consider implementing this, *please* check for the environment variables used when running PHP via FastCGI or as regular CGI. It looks like this (possibly a CITY variable will also be available in some scenarios):

$_ENV["GEOIP_CONTINENT_CODE"] (EU)
$_ENV["GEOIP_COUNTRY_CODE"] (DK)
$_ENV["GEOIP_COUNTRY_NAME"] (Denmark)

I've also noticed the same variables in the $_SERVER array, but I'm not sure which is the "correct" one to use.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
