I have used wassup in 2.8.6, 2.9 and 2.9.1 and it works flawlessly...

But my better compatibility plugin shows that wassup is not compatiable with these versions...

Even the Wordpress Plugin info is outdated on this score. It reads

# Requires WordPress Version: 2.2 or higher
# Compatible up to: 2.8.3 - 2.7.* - 2.6.* - 2.5.* - 2.3.* - 2.2.3 - 2.2.2

YOU HAVE A GREAT PLUGIN, you may be losing users for want of this simple update on your compatibility info...

I can confirm that WassUp 1.5.1 works on my blog which runs Wordpress 2.2.3, the last of the 2.2.x series. Previous to that I used WassUp 1.4.9 on Wordpress 2.2.2. I never tried WassUp on 2.2.1 because I upgraded from that a while ago.

Thanks for the fast response - I just tested revision 51 and it works like expected.

You was right about the MySQL, my hoster uses a real ancient 4.0.x.

Renke I think your problem is an old Mysql version installed on your host (and it could be the same problem for biks), queries like those you pasted are not compatible with Mysql < 4.2, I just modified them to keep retro-compatibility with Mysql.
You could try the SVN code to find yourself if that's the problem.
Version 1.4.5 is on the way.

hello,

I see the same error as biks, to keep you informed here are the steps I performed today in my setup:

- updated WP to 2.3.3 German
- updated Wassup to 1.4.4

- noted some ugly errors on the wassip main page (DB errors like
"You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'SELECT DISTINCT wassup_id FROM wp_wassup WHERE timestamp BETWE]
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM (SELECT DISTINCT wassup_id FROM wp_wassup WHERE timestamp BETWEEN 1202226033 AND 1202226213) as currenttot")

- deleted the complete plugin folder of Wassup and dropped the table
- installed Wassup again

no changes, the error is identical

on page "Visitor Details" 3 SQL errors and the both biks mentioned, on "Current Visitors online" one SQL error, "Spy Visitors" seems to work.

Hope this details help, if you need more input say so.

I'm happy it works! Yes I gave you a modified version which will be the next release (1.4.4).

Your WP tells you there is an upgrade because the version you are using now is 1.4.3a is different from the actual 1.4.3, please don't touch it before you see the 1.4.4 version available at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wassup/

Thank you for your time and patience! I apreciate it!

I'm a web developer (not familiar with php, I work with asp e .NET) but could notice what you changed (and it worked, by the way).

* You have changed JQuery (last parameter) to 1.2.1 (before was: 1.2.2).
* Some statistics were excluded, like lines: 634, 639 and 643.
* Some other minor changes.
* Added the "`" character to the timestamp and language on the CreateTable function.
* Removed some spiders identification on wGetSpider function.

I supposed that you gave my some edited version to troubleshooting, is that right? In that case I can tell you that worked. Wordpress plug-in page tells me that "There is a new version of WassUp".

What should I do? Continuing to use this edited version or I can use another one?
Thank you again for your kindness in anwser my questions.

Please could you try to overwrite your wassup.php file with this: http://trac.wpwp.org/browser/trunk/wassup.php?format=raw
The best approach should be:

1) disable WassUp plugin
2) drop the wpgeraldo_wassup table from your Wordpress database
3) overwrite the file wassup.php
4) enable the plugin

Please let me know

P.S.

Hi people, I'm having a bit of a trouble get this plugin up and running, can anyone Help-me? Every page on my blog has this message:

WordPress database error Duplicate column name 'timestamp' for query ALTER TABLE wpgeraldo_wassup ADD COLUMN
timestamp
varchar(20) default NULL WordPress database error Duplicate column name 'language' for query ALTER TABLE wpgeraldo_wassup ADD COLUMN
language
varchar(5) default NULL

I Already tried to drop these columns and the error desapears only for one page view, and then it continues to appear. Does anyone now about it?
