"Show Top Stats / Top Request" is cluttered with useless hits like
/blog/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron
/blog/xmlrpc.php
/blog/feed/
plus css, js, login and register links which are of little or no use.

Blocking such on Options / Post-Pages exclude either doesn't work at all or is inadequately defined.

What we really want to see is hits on which posts and pages. The list should include all of those, which means it should not be limited to ?10? lines.

Because of these defects I've virtually given up on Wassup, and have added WordPress.com Stats to get more of what's really needed, but that means running both. I like Wassup, but please fix these things!

Using WassUp 1.7.2.1 & viewing with Firefox 3.5.5 in Vista Ultimate, I find that the display of SPY Visitors begins to fade after about 4 entries on the screen. This doesn't seem to happen when showing Visitor Details or any other display. Any ideas as to why this is happening and what can be done to correct it?

I know you guys must have a million other things to do, but thought to request better IP recognition in future releases as I currently have to double check IPs here:

http://www.myiptest.com/staticpages/index.php/IP-Lookup

and am sure if they can do it so easily & accurately, so could your plugin :o)

Best,

My blog being relatively new I wished If I could somehow see how much time visitors spend time on the site. As wassup already tracks the visits I thought it would be great to have this feature implemented.

I don`t know how wassup works but I have idea how this could be done. The time could be calculated considering the first page view and last page view. But this wont be too efficient as visitor might have left after one pageview. In this case the Visitor length could be shown as "Insufficient data".

I have uploaded a picture showing the possible space where time can be displayed : http://enli.co.cc/?attachment_id=218

Also new graph/page could be added to report the average time visitors have spent considering specific interval of time. To me this latter feature is a bonus if you guys implement the first request.

I am hoping to hear your thoughts on this idea.

Regards,
EnLi

This would be helpful in tracking visitors - particularly spiders.

It occurred to me as I dug through logs reviewing spider activity. Some of them were obvious while others required a bit of research to identify. I'd like to be able to make some kind of note as I find out more about them.

Wassup is a truely amazing tool, among all the stats tools I tried (e.g. couterizeII, bot-tracker). However one key stats is missing, that is the "Unique visitor count" which is considered the measure of popularity of your blog. It'll be great if you could add this together with the "visits, pageviews, page/visit"

It's be nice to add a link to do IP geo location search, using say http://www.ip-adress.com/ or http://whatismyipaddress.com/. It's best to make the geo ip search site configurable.

Hi Michele,
I have a suggestion for a stats addon/change:
-Create separate "Feed Reader" Top stats and remove "feeds" from "Top OS"/"Top Browser" stats and possibly even from "Top URL request".
-Add exclusion for "feeds" in Wassup recording options (for the URL request, not the user-agent).

"feed" is the #1 page request on my site. Not by bots, but by browsers (FF,Safari) and desktop applications launched by individuals. Eg. I have a subscriber via "Google Desktop" gadget that automatically queries my feed at least 4 times an hour, nonstop, 24x7. Firefox built-in feed reader is another app that does frequent automatic feed queries. I prefer that feed be separate so that it does not skew the other stats.

Thanks.

Hi,

wassup is a great plugin and it's very useful for me to find out what my visitors are actually interested in.

I use the wassup widget in my sidebar to display site stats, these however show numbers that appear to skew the statistics even though they are correct.

In my statistics IE 6 shows up as the most used browser, yet FF 2 has more visitors. Because every bug fix is counted separately (2.0.07, 2.0.0.9, 2.0.010, 2.0.011 vs. 6.0).

So my wish would be to have an option to turn on browser grouping to only count major revision numbers like 2.0, 2.1, 6.0, 6.5 and so on. This gives a much more realistic picture of the real usage.

Thanks,

Visits, Pages/visit, Unique visitors, New visitors, Repeat visitors.
