Hi there,
First off, congrats for this great plugin!
Until now I was using my own plugin for stats (never made it public for support reasons).
I have only been using for a few days but I have already decided to use your plugin instead of mine... somehow your is 10000 times better ;)
here are my comments and idea of improvement:
- Not sure if the filter "comment author" works, if I select this option I can't see any users, nothing. If I remove this filter I can however see users and next to the user id a field named COMMENTS AUTHOR. Is this is bug?
- Also, in the option, I cannot select any other field than the 5 default ones.
Improvement:
- Could you have an overall counter? and be able to select this option in the widget?
- Possible to generate an average hit a day and display it in the widget?
- It would be great if there were a way to have more info about the users who come to the sites. Or at least an easier way to extract the info. Below are some example:
a) Easy way to generate a list of registered users with number of hits on your site, with last time online.
b) Top 10 users (with hits)
c) In the widget:
To be able to show the user how many hits he has made to the website (i.e.: You came here: "501 times").
To be able to show the position of the current online user (i.e.: You rank is: 23th.
To display: Behind you is "name" with "500 hits".
I have done that with my plugin and I found my users loved this feature, they felt more involve with the blog and competitive to be better "positioned". In other words it was pushed my reader to come more often (I know, content of the blog is more important, but still).
Happy to help with development and share my code but you probably have more than enough developpers (and better ones, I am just an "old" coder who only learnt C some years agao and hacked away some php code for wordpress).
Again, very well done, your plugin rocks!!!
Bugs.
