   Hi, just today my blog doesn't load if plugin is active: i can access the Admin section, but the frontend section doesn't load. I had to deactivate the plugin.
   Is there any solution? I'm using WP 2.3 with last Wassup relase.

   Exactly the same problem here.
   I noticed it about an hour ago.
   ie7 and firefox
   Looking at raw logs, I think some visitors were getting through.
   Also, I tried to view the page source which sometimes, eventually loaded after the browser had given up - very weird.(I doubt it but maybe it was cached?)
   Could it be an Akismet thing - are our own Wassup queries on our server flagging us as spammers ?

   I just loaded the new plugin 1.4.5 and the problem seems to be resolved.
   However, I'm going to disable it until I can find out more about what happened.
   I love the plugin and appreciate the work that has been put into it but I really don't want to take a chance.

   btw - I'm using WP Version 2.3.3 and just upgraded to Wassup 1.4.5.

   i had the same prob with 1.4.4 so upgraded to 1.4.5 but the same prob, version 1.4.3 is ok so change back to that for now!

   michele if you need any log files or such for debugging let me know if i can be of help, you know we all lurve wassup!

   same here michele

   recently upgraded to WP 2.3.3 with latest wassup and today wordpress couldnt load
   i was able to access admin section but blog takes a year to load

   I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one - I thought I was going crazy!

   -Installed Wassup over a week ago, worked perfectly and I fell in love with it.
   - TODAY (01/14) my pantyhose blog experiences problems connecting to MySQL database. Contacted host about it, they said tables got erased and Wassup (probably) corrupted MySQL database.
   - De-activated Wassup and blog worked.
   -Deleted Wassup and uploaded/activated new version (1.4.5)
   - SAME PROBLEM!

   For now Wassup is deactivated but I'd love to have it back!!!!!

   Very strange problem, but we are working on, new 1.4.6 version is almost ready with multilanguage support and these problems solved.

    Hi there, I just finished the svn version for 1.4.6pre (r80), please could you try it?
    People experienced problem with slow down blog, could you try to disable SPAM CHECK and give some feedback?

    Disabling the spam check fixes the loading problem in 1.4.5.

    Thank you periapex for reporting it, we are working on a way to automatically disable the Akismet check spam if the server where the blog resides has a slow connection against the Akismet server, this will prevent the blog slows down.

    My hostmaster who traced the slow front-loading problem to Akismet issues indicated something about akismet requests to a server that is not responding. Are the akismet requests from wassup valid?

    Yes periapex, the Akismet request is well done (server is rest.akismet.com), there was a little problem in WassUp conditional tag about Akismet errors. I'm testing new code and I think the problem is definitively solved.
    I will upload the new 1.4.6 version with this issue solved and some other features added as soon as I finish testing it.
