   Hello,

   first, please excuse my bad english, i´m from germany.

   After i started my blog with wordpress, i installed wassup 1.4.4
   It works, but it slows down the site and so i found here the solution to upgrade to 1.4.7

   Yesterday i did the upgrade and now i receive on the main-page an error when wassup is active:

   "Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/lib/php5) is not within the allowed path(s): (/srv/www/vhosts/freebiker.com/subdomains/oelfinger/httpdocs:/tmp) in /srv/www/vhosts/freebiker.com/subdomains/oelfinger/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wassup/wassup.php on line 1171 "

   Don´t know what this means (i am not an html-mastermind)

   The wassup plugin works fine, but the error makes me frightened, so i deaktivatet it.

   The "open_basedir restriction" error is a permission error that occurs when your PHP setup is configured to have limited file access to only a "restricted area" on the web server. This is similiar to being in "SAFE MODE". In Wassup, this error is being triggered by a PHP "session.save_path" value that is outside of your "restricted area".

   To fix, go to Wassup admin menu ==>Options ==>Manage Files&Database tab and modify the value in "Temporary files location folder". The instructions are here in the Wiki documentation.
