Hello.
There is a while since last upgrade. Is this plugin is under development or depreceated?
Is this plug-in still under development?

Wassup is still under development. Michele and I are both busy, but we are very committed to this project.
Wassup status as of today, 2010-06-19: Revision 1.8 has come out of alpha phase and will be available for beta testing soon.

Thank you. :) I love this plug-in, and I would be very sorry if it was cancelled.

Will 1.8 fix the huge database size that Wassup created?
I had it running on a website with 150.000 visitors a month and the database was 750mb after 6 months. It was huge and really slowed down the server. I set it's recording to max 1 month, but 1 month is too short for me.

Wassup 1.8 improves Wassup's performance, however, there is no significant change to the database structure itself. This improvement may allow you to retain data for longer than 1 month (3 months), without significant slowdowns, however, the database size will still be large.
You may need a faster, more optimized host server to use WassUp. If that's not possible, another plugin that uses a remotely-hosted stats service that does not affect your database may be more appropriate for you. Google Analytics and Wordpress.com Stats are good examples of these.

Thank you Helene,
I stopped using Wassup as a longterm stats tool, the server demands are just to high to keep data for a year.
However it is an excellent plugin to see day to day and week tot week stats. So is it possible to have auto database deletes and summary for the last:
2 weeks
3 weeksPosted 1 year ago # -
Hi Lisa,
I am glad you want to keep using WassUp in spite of it's database size.
I may be able to squeeze in the "2 week" summary option into v1.8, if it doesn't delay the release.

Thank you.
Will version 1.8 also work with cache plugins such as W3 Total Cache?
